Surround Yourself With Positivity(part two)-Simple tips to Catapult Your Positive Energy

In the first part of this Series we spoke about surrounding ourself with positive people. In this part we will dive into how to catapult the positive energies in you and around you by making a few simple additions to your atmosphere. Thereby ensuring happiness and success.

Positive Energy is the one thing that at times we all feel we need more of. What most people find is that when they are doing what they love or are living in a space they love their positive energy comes forth naturally. When you have a passion for what you are doing and the right ambiance to motivate, you will find positive energy is something that you have in abundance.

“The higher your energy level, the more efficient your body The more efficient your body, the better you feel and the more you will use your talent to produce outstanding results.”~ Tony Robbins

But yes, there are days when things don’t work the way we want them to; we are fed up with our life, lack enthusiasm and motivation, and the energy to do daily chores. Such feelings erupt when our positive energies are blocked. This Positive Energy is what makes life ‘alive’ and should never be blocked; it should flow around us and through us freely.

The quality of this positive energy is important to our well-being and we have the power within ourselves to make it work for us. Free-flowing energy, which is balanced and healthy, reflects harmony between our mind and body. It eliminates sickness. On the other hand, when energy is blocked and stagnating, it creates imbalance, disharmony and affects everything in its path.

You can transform and manipulate the positive energies, which can have powerful effects, and very often, just making small changes bring huge positive results. These changes can make you feel rejuvenated, enhance your confidence and help you stay motivated.

Simple tips to Catapult Your Positive Energy

Here are simple tips for creating a positive energy filled environment that is good for your mind, body, heart and soul:

Clean your space: Clutter disrupts your life. When it’s rampant, you feel stressed about everything. Make sure that your bedroom, closet and bathroom are neat and orderly. Most importantly begin your day with a calm mind and positive thoughts. I’ve written extensively about decluttering before. Click here to read that article.

Create restful sleep: Create a wonderful resting place, where you can relax after the day’s work. Make sure that the bed is in the back corner of the room, and not exactly opposite to the door; it protects from fast moving energy in your bedroom. Light Sandalwood incense sticks and have bamboo plants around the room. Incense and bamboo both have the ability to cut through negative energies and create a more harmonious space.

Colour your space for calm: Use pastel lavenders, greens, peaches and other soothing earth tones in your home décor. You could also identify a colour which makes you feel nice and calm, and adapt it to suit your space. Pastel and bright shades have a calming effect on the eyes. They are also known to create a calming atmosphere for the mind.

Light candles: Light blue, lavender or cream-coloured candles for relaxation. Surround yourself with natural light and green plants, bamboo shoot being my favorite indoor plant. Open the doors and windows and let fresh air in. As night falls, avoid bright light for at least an hour before going to bed.

Play soothing sounds: Natural sounds are good, as they connect you to nature. If you live next to the ocean, youre super lucky to have the sound of waves as your best friend. But, if like me you live ina bustling city you can buy cd’s or download a few earth sounds. Birds, ocean waves, trees dancing…are some personal favorites of mine.  When the space around you is calm, your thoughts become calmer and more positive quite naturally.

You can close the windows and darken your room, and you can open the windows and let light in. It is a matter of choice. Your mind is your room. Do you darken it or do you fill it with light? Our positive energy CAN be simply abundant, we just have to allow it access with our complete being.

How do you create positive energy around you? Do you have any positive secrets to share? I’d love to hear from you in the comments :) Plus, if you like what you read here, please share it with your friends and family.

  1. Lovely. :D I like your tips. And the line: your mind is your room. Do you darken it or do you fill it with light? So grateful we have the choice! Great follow up post to the first part, Zeenat.

    Hugs and love, Vidya

    • Hi Vidya,
Lightening up our life is truly entirely in our hands..
So glad you liked this post :) Thank you for your lovely comment here.
      Much love~

  2. Good reminders Zeenat. I like to keep my home neat, clean and organized. It helps me feel good along with music & listening to birds and other sounds of nature. Of course, feeling good on the inside is most important and most under our control, so do a happy dance!
    smiles, brad

    • Oh Brad,

  4. Nice tips Zeenat!

Absolutely – having a clean work place and home is vital as that’s known to attract positiv energy. And yes, candles and light music work wonders for sure, though I still need to work more on my restful sleep. It sure is going to get our positive energy working in our favor. :)

    Thanks for sharing. :)

  5. O Brother Where Art Thou?

    O Sister

I have been down to the river to pray cause I love to collect things along the way.

What I don’t pick up seems to follow me home and wants to stay.

    O Sister

I have been around the world this day cause I love to learn each way.

What I won’t trick up seems to follow me home and wants to earn its stay.

    O Sister

I been down inside myself today cause I love to know truth this way.

What I want strict from you seems to be toleration from your home this day.

    O Sister

I been your brother more today cause I love to know your way.

What I want quick from you is not approval but understanding O K ?

    —————-

Zeenat my home is a reflection of many, many, many, and many years of collecting and interest,,,a very, very, very, and very happy ‘Gheppto’ kind of place (even have a fish in a tank that’s very happy too…because the Blue Jay that comes inside for peanuts and to visit cheers “Jaws’ the fish up). Jaws happens to be a ‘Rainbow Shark, which describe the inside and outside garden of my home. I have many visitors that are quit at home here. Other animal friends include ‘Minnie the Moocher’ (every bodies cat). ‘Grub-eating Skunk’, and birds, birds, birds, and more birds (just the Blue Jay comes inside the door). All seem to like both the loud and soft music that I play :)

You will never get me to change this compartment…cause happiness resides here.

I believe each to there own as long as they do not harm anyone.

I believe positiveness comes in many forms.

I believe that one should not always try to present a facade for the approval of another, but have conviction to one’s own chosen ‘River to Pray’ and the way they choose to live.

To be *honest* with you Zeenat, I would totally enjoy having you mention more about your ‘River to Pray’ so that I can ‘collect’ a better understanding and thus be more *tolerant*.

Thank you Zeenat for this post.

I purposely chose the Mormon Tabernacle Choir’s version because I am not of their faith:

  6. What great tips, Zeenat! I’ve been working on the clutter one lately. I need to work on restful sleep as well.

    As always, a wonderful post!!
    xoxo

  7. Good tips .. but life is a mix … living in a family, and stressed at the job. I usually enjoy starting the day with a mass (being catholic), which helps to bring about calmness and serenity .. at the start of a day. This, before entering my office time – one rush of ansering emails, phone calls, discussions with staff, and trying to do work among so much interference. But again one must ideally wake up in good time and not rush to mass … I find an aquarium in my study at home .. actually my relaxing area .. helps too. In the evening before I sleepaA little light music and just a little red wine I find helpful as well .. I do not know if these are all recommended. I too find that candles help.
