How to Positively melt those Creative Blocks

“Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which ones to keep.” Scott Adams

Is there an area in your life where you feel, you just cannot move forward? You may be experiencing a creative block…

I’ve been experiencing writers block since the past three weeks. Previously, inspiration had been flowing. It was a beautiful experience. Ideas fell neatly into place, difficult concepts were easily expressed, and I had words! I was living in the land of milk and honey. Continue reading

5 Steps to Accepting the Beauty of Change

Special Note: Today I have the pleasure of introducing you to an exceptional writer and my dear friend Paige Burkes. Do enjoy her beautiful words here and show her some love in the comments below. More about Paige below the article. Enjoy! Love, Zeenat~

The only constant is change.

As much as we know this to be true, we resist it at every turn.

Our egos cling to the way things are and have been, creating fears around anything different.  This creates the presumption that anything other than what we already know can’t be good.  How absurd!

What do you do when life throws you a zinger?  Do you panic and resist and hope that the change isn’t really happening? Do you go into a tailspin of hopelessness and depression?  Or do you accept that the change is part of the ebb and flow of life? Continue reading

Equanimity Kung Fu Panda Style ~ Raoka

“Inner Peace. Inner..inner…inner peace.” ~ Master Shifu from Kung Fu Panda 2

Last week I had the pleasure of watching Kung Fu Panda 2 with my little girl. It was her very first movie in the cinema. She already had the panda PO toy, so she could identify with him. He goes from being a noodle cook to becoming the Dragon warrior or The Chosen One.

My experience of watching the movie was beautiful. I loved every bit of the movie and so did my little one :)

While watching the movie though I couldn’t help think of how ‘realistic’ all the plots were and how well it fit in with the Raoka Theme of Equanimity. Continue reading

Human beings are sticklers for routine. Whether we accept it or not, we like to know where everything is coming from, what time everything is happening. There is a time for eating, sleeping, schooling, reading….and lately I’ve noticed people even taking out time during the week to ‘just talk’. All in all we love our routine knowing.

But, what happens when you don’t know, when your routines go topsy turvy, when your plans go flying with the wind? Do you curb under the pressure of the unpredictability and uncertainty? Continue reading

I Cannot Detach Myself

“All humanity is one undivided and indivisible family, and each one of us is responsible for the misdeeds of all the others. I cannot detach myself from the wickedest soul.” ~Gandhi~

Life up untill now has had its ups and downs. Infact everyday has its ups and downs. When I was a teenager I dealt with the downs in a not-so-pretty way. There would be tantrums and blame games. ‘He did it’ or ‘she did it’ or its ‘because of him’ or its ‘because of her’….somehow it was always about me, but never because of me. Ironical, I know…I just realized that. Continue reading
