Today marks the 70th Death Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. It’s the day a simple man, with a simple mission passed into the spirit world. His mission was of Non-violence, of peace, of Unity in diversity. His utter simplicity brought about a revolution of magnanimous proportions. A country was freed, people were heard, caste systems were banished and most of all love and peace prevailed. On this day…and everyday, I applaud this mission. I applaud his spirit, his courage, his unwavering and self-less motives.

I believe, rather firmly believe in Non-violence in thoughts and actions. In no circumstance or situation or state is violence physical or mental acceptable. I condemn war and fighting. There is so much of it going on around us already, that we are just adding to the Universe’s Mental Pollution, by thinking violently too. Be it just muttering harsh words under our breath or holding grudges or holding hate in our hearts. We are sending out the wrong energy into this Universe. 5 Positive Thoughts & 5 Positive Affirmations for a Super 2018Happy 2018 darlings! Can you believe it, we are already half way through the first month of the new year?! 

Time flies, and we fly with it. How happily this time flies depends on the many curve balls life throws in our paths.

Life has a way of throwing many curve balls in our path. My life has been no exception to those very unpleasant curve balls. From a broken heart, to a broken soul, to coming down a negative spiral….I’ve been everywhere.

In those very very negative times, the few things that helped me heal were my faith in the Divine and my own positive self talk.

Although spirituality came to me at a very early age, its not until pretty late that I realized it wasn’t anyone or anything that’s hurting me…it was me all along! HOW? My own thinking was eating me alive. When I read and learnt about positive thinking and positive affirmations…I was already too muddled to realize the full benefits of this simple healing magic. It was while IN one of these trying times that I revisited my own thoughts and began putting my knowledge to good practical use. Within no time, I was OUT of my negative patterns and could see clearly. I was feeling alive again.

I don’t want YOU to wait to heal…till its too late and you are left with more regrets than good memories. The time to heal is NOW! This NEW YEAR, I want you to decide that you are going to take the first imperative step to heal…..and that step is to cut the problem at its root: our thinking. The best way to start feeding your mind by using positive thoughts and positive affirmations.

In last weeks article on making one positive promise for the new year, I touched upon why it was SO imperative to be kind to yourself in the coming year. Cause let’s face it, those resolutions we each try and make every year, have crash and burn written all over them even before they are made! And when they do crash and burn, we get so critical of ourselves. We start to wallow in all things negative and dismal. Where is the kindness or happiness in that? So my take, NO RESOLUTIONS, only kinder promises ❤

Life is So rich, so stimulating, so amazing! I love how life thrives in me and around me. There are opportunities and activities going on everywhere around me and I feel like a kid at a carnival, wondering which game to play first. Its an amazing feeling to be immersed in the wide tapestry of life and enjoy its colors fully. There is wonder and awe everywhere if we choose to see it that way. But, while life can be full of all things amazing, it can also be full of unmanageable tension when our mind is going so many places at once. That’s inner chaos for you. On the outside, it all feels doable, approachable, delicious even…but on the inside there is indecisiveness, stress, anxiety and tension.
