As you look at your life, what is the thing that captivates your heart and mind fully?

That tiniest ember of a passionate thought with the gravitational pull of all the planets in all the galaxies on your attention? A spark SO strong that you’re willing to risk even failure or embarrassment because the experience or reward is so much greater? I hope you either have goose bumps or chills up your spine thinking about this thought.

Another way to understand this what is that deep seeded craving to reconnect with something that stirs your soul so intensely.

Now, if I stop you in your tracks while you are in the middle of your day and ask you,

“What is it that sets your soul on fire? What is your burning passion that you can’t stop thinking of?”

Would you be able to answer right away or would you need time to think?

Note to Self: Take Your Time

In case you need to hear it today, it’s absolutely ok to follow your own heart, live according to your own timeline, and in your own unique way.

Nobody else can do that for you. Only YOU can.

That’s a fact I keep learning to accept, whenever I think about all the books I still want to write. Or anytime I’m out for my walk and my body tells me to go slower.

I’m so driven by the end result, that sometimes, I feel like I need to be running at hyper speed to get stuff done. When in reality that only adds to my angst. My almost 17 year old’s favorite thing to calm me down is saying: Chill ma. chill.

How Coffee Can Make You Anxious

I know I know, I LOVE coffee too!

How can something that is so warm and fuzzy, make me anxious?

Don’t be mad at me for stating something that we all need to know and understand.

Its actually not just the coffee, its the caffeine in the coffee that can trigger anxiety in some.

Now over the years, I have developed a very loving relationship with my coffee. Its my #1 go to in all times of emotional imbalance. I have had coffee when I was upset, or stressed, or thinking or working, or even simply chilling with my favorite people. Coffee is the comforting aura that is connected with happy memories for me.

There’s nothing more comforting than a warm beverage in your favorite mug, how could that be possibly related to anxiety? For some people, there is clear evidence that points to a connection between caffeine and anxiety.
