But what is your message and how does your life compare in contrast? Lets think about this for a bit.

If you think of role models for this particular way of living Gandhi, Mother Teresa …come to mind. They walked their talk. They lived. They taught. They inspired. They brought about revolutions in good conscious living. They LIVED their message of love, peace and compassion. Their life story is still fragrant with their message and will forever be.

While we go about our days catering to every physical need we have, we tend to forget that we are indeed spiritual beings inhabiting this beautiful Universe. As a result of this we, as a society have become materialistic and selfish. Our physical needs take precedence over our souls needs…thereby paving the way for loneliness, depression, lack of self worth, suicide and I cant even begin to mention the crimes that are committed as a result of it all.

Having traveled extensively to many countries and meeting many many souls, I have noticed one common negative trait in almost 95% of people(for sometime even me!). What is this negative trait?

Here it is: We do good(awesome!), but only because we feel like we are going to get something back in return(not so awesome!). Doing good for personal gain is no good at all.

As an occupational hazard, I tend to analyze everything. So, when someone I know made a huge donation to a charity dear to my heart I was mighty pleased ofcourse….up until this ‘someone’ started talking to press and media about the huge donation they had made. Now I know these people…I know they started out donating money to this charity out of the goodness of their heart.
