Each and every one of us at some point or the other have experienced deep frustration with a relationship, an activity or job and been tempted to throw it over. Many of us do so, in fact. We quit jobs and sever relationships for emotional reasons. In the long run though, quitting never seems to work out. The job we take next or the relationship we settle for on the rebound, are as unrewarding and as far away from the ideals we long for, and we wonder why it is that our path does not seem to open up and why we are as far away from fulfillment as ever we were. Simplicity and Spirituality – Raoka

As I focused on “Simplicity” last month, I couldn’t help but think that the chase after a wealthy life style is a rather complicated affair: the standards keep shifting, and the worries are many. That’s why Spiritual contemplatives and mystics speak so often of ‘detachment’. By taking our focus off of getting stuff, we have more of ourselves available to focus on learning to love rightly, or taking time to be face-to-face with those in need, or learning , or learning how to depend on the Spirit. Creating Happiness, Freedom, Butterflies and Splashing Colors in 2011

As the year comes to an end and a new year ushers itself on us tonight, we will all be thinking about the year ahead. In lieu of what we went through in this year, we think the next year will either be similar. Instantly flashes of what went wrong in this year will leave their residue in the year to come, if you Let them. The smart and positive thing to do is to leave this year to its original colors and SPLASH the coming year with colors of happiness, freedom and of course butterflies.
