10 Ways to Be an Empowered Woman + 41 Positive Quotes by 41 Empowered Women

“Everyone has inside of her a piece of good news. The good news is that you don’t know how great you can be! How much you can love! What you can accomplish! And what your potential is!” ~ Anne Frank

ON the occasion of Women’s Day I feel Empowered. I feel happy. I feel this is OUR time, to BE who we truly want to BE.

Women today are mothers, daughters, sisters, friends, empaths, nurturers, care-takers, revolutionaries, scientists, doctors, healers, astronauts, writers, historians, visionaries, poets….whoever they want to be.

Each woman wears many hats in just one single moment. Yet, she does it with such finesse, you would think she was born with such amazing abilities…and you would be right. She is born with amazing powers. A Woman is not just all those hats she wears, she is above all a CREATOR a creator of Positive Change. Whether she is a working girl or a homemaker, she CREATES Positive change is the most loving and subtle ways.

A Woman Nurtures the Life within her. She nurtures it despite all odds, brings it into this world, and molds this little life into one BIG beautiful life. This life then goes and touches all with its amazing love, only to then create another life. Such is the miracle of a Woman. She not only nurtures her children, but also all those other children she comes across. She gives and gives and gives…all so openly. Her heart is deeper than any ocean and bigger than any Universe. 7 Life Lessons from Gandhi

7 Life Lessons from GandhiI believe, rather firmly believe in the Non-violence in thoughts and actions. In no circumstance or situation or state is violence physical or mental acceptable.

I condemn war and fighting. There is so much of it going on around us already, that we are just adding to the Universe’s Mental Pollution, by thinking violently too. Be it just muttering harsh words under our breath or holding grudges or holding hate in our hearts. We are sending out the wrong energy into this Universe. Continue reading

7 Positive Life Lessons from #RUMI

7 Positive Life Lessons from RUMIRumi’s words, his verses and his poetry has always inspired me. Its moved me at the soul level. Its made me understand so many of life’s truths that sometimes when I sit to soak in his words, I am astounded by what they reveal. You can read the same poetry a hundred times over and each time you will come to understand another layer of the wisdom it offers. Amazing right?!

I was introduced to Rumi by my very brilliant dad. He loved all things poetry and I was always surrounded by books and debates discussing essential life philosophy. I started reading Rumi when I was just 12 years old! While other girls my age read Nancy Drews I was reading Rumi and Gibran…go figure 🙂 I obviously couldn’t process Rumi’s words at the time, but I loved how his words calmed me. Dad would often quote Rumi in his day to day interactions. He would quote him in Urdu, Farsi and English. All these years of being exposed to this Sufi wisdom tends to rub off  🙂 Continue reading
