“Be content with what you have; rejoice in the way things are. When you realize there is nothing lacking the whole world belongs to you.” ~ Lao-Tzu

In the last article, I shared 14 ways to find your happy place and why it was so important for our healing to have this happy place and go to it often. In that article one of the most profound ways was to write a gratitude journal. Its easier to start the practice if you have prompts to write, so this post is all about how to get started(and how I started) with this healing practice and with a FREE PRINTABLE with the prompts and space for you to begin. Read on and don’t forget to download your free gratitude journal with healing prompts at the end…

Years ago, I started writing in a gratitude journal because I needed to heal from depression, anxiety and deep traumas. It was one of the tools suggested by almost all spiritual teachers, psychology professors and experts in the field of mental and emotional health.

In the beginning, I struggled to write anything down. Then slowly as I kept sitting with it, I simply tried to write five things each morning for which I was grateful. The practice encouraged me to look back on the past 24 hours and recall all the positive parts of the day.

13 Ways to Sky Rocket🚀 YOUR Self-Worth in 30 days

“Self–worth is so vital to your happiness if you don’t feel good about yourself, it’s hard to feel good about anything else.” ~ Sandy Hale

Recently while at an event, the above truth dawned on me, more deeply than usual. It was the result of a conversations I was having at that event.

At these events you know there are people you might not know or they dont know you, or you meet them after a very long gap, so when you sit on the same table you tend to do the polite hellos and superficial conversation just to fill the air. Old people pleasing me was a pro at superficial conversations. But, I noticed this time that all the conversations I had were NOT superficial. Almost automatically everyone I met opened up about their most deepest thoughts and those are the best conversations according to me.

And that is why I felt at ease and had the best time even in between strangers.

One of the key factors of healing is working on building your self worth and by association self respect.,, and here is how I build my own self worth…

In my line of work I speak to and counsel so many souls who are somewhat new to the healing, wellness and personal development space — and one of the things that usually comes up in our conversations is “rest.” Or the lack of it, which is causing an imbalance in their healing journey.

Physical rest is something you are surely familiar with and you may have also heard of mental rest. But do you know that there are many types of rest (other than sleeping) that you should be prioritizing for your well-being and mental health?

If you’ve been feeling unwell, tired, fatigued, cranky, irritated but can’t figure out why, you’re going to want to read this article!
