How to deepen your relationships with the help of communication

This is a beautiful Article by Heidi Paavilainen who is a Transformative coach, Yoga teacher and Writer. Enjoy darlings!

Someone mentioned how in Finland we almost never say the words “I love you”. Since I have been away from my home country for a while I was first puzzled by this statement, but soon recognized how that might be true. In our culture we are simply not used to say those three words.

Even if I believe that we don’t need to limit our expression of love to words, I’m still a big believer in expressing our good feelings to one another.

Listening is loving

listening is loving positive provocations“The first duty of love is to listen.” – Paul Tillich

In the movie, Hector and the Search for Happiness, Hector – a bored London psychiatrist – travels the world looking for the meaning of happiness.  Along the way, he scribbles and sketches the key points he discovers in his nifty travel diary.

If someone whould’ve told me 5 years back that I would be so uber techie I would have surely had a hearty laugh…cause at that time all the app and techie jargon was for geeks and nerds(who I love by the way…psst married to one 😉 ). What does being PowerFULL really mean?

The meaning of power is very broad and can mean a lot of different things to different people at different times. It’s a term often used in the corporate world. It can also refer to the electricity that fuels our homes or the mechanical energy in a vehicle. But when it comes to people, being power-full is an entirely different concept. Continue reading

How to ask Positive Questions for deeper and more meaningful connections

“A good friend is to life- a tie to the past, a road to the future, the key to sanity in a totally insane world.” ~Lois Wyse

We all strive to build deeper and more meaningful connections with the people in our lives. When we care, we want to know more of what other people are feeling and thinking, wanting and planning. To do this gently and positively, we need to use positive questions that “open” people up instead of “closing” them off. Continue reading
