We all sleep at night with a to do list in our mind. Even if you are not the list making kind, you do surely make a mental list. Nothing wrong with that. This list can include waking up at a certain time, eating at a certain time, eating a particular breakfast, dropping the kids off to school, responding to a few social calls, paying the bills, work engagements, reading a book…. or yes something as mundane as just doing the dishes. We all have things we need to do in our life. Be it small or big tasks, we all have a pull to do them. Being yourself isnt a choice. Its a way of life. Period.

Being you is not always the easiest thing to be. Believe me I have had a hard time in the past just being me until I found out who I was.

Being Beautifully YOU means to celebrate your individuality – learning to express yourself and be happy with who you are. For some  it’s learning to love yourself, for others, it’s not hiding who you are or changing things about you to fit in. I fall in both those categories. And its amazing how everyday I learn something new about myself and strive to unleash it to the world…all because I am ready to do the inner work to be authentically ME. A New Year means a new dawn. A new beginning. Are you coming into this glorious new year with old unnecessary baggage(stress)??? 

Believe it or not, we are almost always surrounded by stress. Be it work stress, relationship stress, self image stress, social stress….the list can be endless. Stress is unavoidable…it will be thrown at us at every nook and corner…BUT although we don’t have a choice at what is thrown at us…we have a choice as to how we allow it to effect us.

New year stress can be a very real thing. Its human tendency to reflect on the year gone by and think of all the things we achieved or didn’t achieve. I personally choose to focus on what I did achieve…that leads me to feel happy for the year that has gone by and makes me feel hopeful for the new year.
