6 Timeless and Positive Life Lessons from #RUMI
My Dad’s Favorite Rumi Quote 🙂

Rumi’s words, his verses and his poetry has always inspired me. Its moved me at the soul level. Its made me understand so many of life’s truths that sometimes when I sit to soak in his words, I am astounded by what they reveal. You can read the same poetry a hundred times over and each time you will come to understand another layer of the wisdom it offers. Amazing right?!

I was introduced to Rumi by my very brilliant dad. He loved all things poetry and I was always surrounded by books and debates discussing essential life philosophy. I started reading Rumi when I was just 12 years old! While other girls my age read Nancy Drews I was reading Rumi and Gibran…go figure 🙂 I obviously couldn’t process Rumi’s words at the time, but I loved how his words calmed me. Dad would often quote Rumi in his day to day interactions. He would quote him in Urdu, Farsi and English. I am open to Wisdom in any size, shape or form it may present itself. Wisdom is something I aim and strive for.

The world is thinking about making money and here I am thinking about gaining wisdom! I can sometimes laugh at myself and my ways of thinking, but the best part about my openness, aims and strives is that I know they fulfill me, enrich me, satisfy me and most of all make me happy. Get out of Clue Clue Land and Decide to Be YOU

I remember when I was about 8 years old and loved playing with my Barbie doll sets, if anyone asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, I said a Barbie doll. And why? Because my Barbie has such beautiful things. Then when I was 12 yrs old, I was crazy about painting and wanted to be a Painter. At 13 it was an astronaut, at 15 it was a teacher, at 16 it was a doctor and at 18 well I just wanted to be left the hell alone!!
