As the year comes to an end and a new year ushers itself on us soon, we will all be thinking about the year ahead. In lieu of what we went through in this year, we think the next year will either be similar. Instantly flashes of what went wrong in this year will leave their residue in the year to come, IF you Let them. The smart and positive thing to do is to leave this year to its original colors and SPLASH the coming year with colors of clarity, love, happiness, freedom and of course butterflies. Having grown up in a desert (muscat) all my life, I was never a fan of the warm temperatures there, that could literally burn your skin and make you dehydrated in a matter of seconds. Sun block and Sun glasses weren’t optional there, they were a necessity. But now, after some traveling and being around the cold wintry places of the world, I kind of have come to appreciate the warm temperatures and the sun and all the good energy it brings with it.

Listening is loving

In the movie, Hector and the Search for Happiness, Hector – a bored London psychiatrist – travels the world looking for the meaning of happiness.  Along the way, he scribbles and sketches the key points he discovers in his nifty travel diary.

While flying to Africa, he lovingly assists a fellow passenger whose brain is about to explode due to the impact of the high altitude pressure on her medical condition.  Hector directs the pilot to fly at a lower elevation, relieves her pain by applying a cold compress to her head, and listens to her story.
