I See Your True Colors

You with the sad eyes
Don’t be discouraged
Oh I realize
It’s hard to take courage
In a world full of people
You can lose sight of it all
And the darkness, inside you
Can make you feel so small
Show me a smile then,
Don’t be unhappy, can’t remember

When I last saw you
laughing

So sad eyes
Discouraged now
Realize
When this world makes you crazy
And you’ve taken all you can bear
You call me up
Because you know I’ll be there
And I’ll see your true colors
Shining through
I see your true colors
And that’s why I love you
So don’t be afraid to let them show

Your true colors
Cos there’s a shining through

True colors are beautiful,
Beautiful, like a rainbow

Today, Now, This very moment, I want you to ponder over the words on this page. I want you to think of how you can let your true colors shine. Cause you are indeed beautiful just like the Rainbow. Let yourself shine!

  1. Zeenat,

What a hope-filled post. πŸ™‚ You’ve made the lyrics magical with your photo selections; a perfect combination.

I’ve always loved rainbows. As a child, I saw them speaking of promise and joy, cheer and sheer happiness, hope and even faith. As an adult, “rainbow” acquired another meaning.

When I was trying to lift myself from a very dark place, I began learning to meditate. I still remember the day I first saw a color in my mind’s eye. It was wondrous! …and perfect timing. At just the point I was giving up my attempts to search for a more attainable calming practice, my inner rainbow peeked through, catching my attention, beckoning. I persevered, learned meditation, and ultimately resurrected my inner self. Now, in my meditations, I regularly see the rainbow colors—the chakra colors—and with happy reverence, I tell myself “it’s time to do the rainbow” when I want to meditate. I find meditation to be one of the ways I access my own “true colors.”

    1. Oh Julie,
Youre such a delight! I’m in awe of your inner rainbow…how so very beautiful! Just goes to show how well in tune with your being you truly are. All I see is light and feel flight when I meditate. Vivid colors yes, but nothing like a rainbow… πŸ™‚
Thank you for sharing your true colors here Julie! You are colorfully gorgeous πŸ™‚
      Much love~

  2. Hi Zeenat,
    Beauty filled indeed:)
I would like each reader to think of the lyrics and look in the mirror and use this as an affirmation as they See their reflection..
So often we see and accept the “true colors” of others but many have a hard time seeing and accepting the ‘true colors” within their own being…
And so often we are “there” for others yet many put their own being last when it comes to care and love…
Please share from your fountain of peace filled abundance..and be as kind to your own being as you are to others..then may we all blossom together…
When I relate, I See you and Love you as you are, may you accept that reflection and receive it into your heart…

  3. Hello Zeenat,

I love this song but never really paid so much attention to the lyrics – it really is touching. Sometimes it takes someone else to point out beauty in things which are right under our noses.
    And the images are stunning.
Thanks for making me smile on a Sunday:)
    Kate
