Nobody really talks about this but When you start healing past traumas and your body comes out of the “fight or flight” mode you will crave rest and silence.
Because your body finally starts to feel safe in the peace and calm.
You aren’t lazy, You are just catching up on all the years you didn’t have calm.
Healing and rest go hand in hand. Mental rest, emotional rest, physical rest… Is all needed to truly heal from past traumas.
Constant triggers don’t let you heal. They agitate, aggravate and cause anxiousness.
This is why when healing from trauma, prioritize rest. Don’t guilt yourself for it.
You deserve this rest❤️
“When you rest, you catch your breath and it holds you up, like water wings…” ~ Anne Lamott

Healing from past traumas is a profound journey that requires patience and self-compassion. Acknowledging your pain is the first step toward transformation. It’s essential to seek support, whether through therapy or community, as you navigate this path. Remember, healing is not linear, but every step forward is a victory worth celebrating.
