I am Every Woman! I am Invincible! I am a Womanist!

“Women are the real architects of society.” ~ Harriet Beecher Stowe, American abolitionist and author

ON the occasion of Women’s Day I feel Empowered. I feel happy. I feel this is OUR time, to BE who we truly want to BE.

Women today are mothers, daughters, sisters, friends, empaths, nurturers, care-takers, revolutionaries, scientists, doctors, healers, astronauts, writers, historians, visionaries, poets….whoever they want to be.

Each woman wears many hats in just one single moment. Yet, she does it with such finesse, you would think she was born with such amazing abilities…and you would be right. She is born with amazing powers. A Woman is not just all those hats she wears, she is above all a CREATOR a creator of Positive Change. Whether she is a working girl or a homemaker, she CREATES Positive change is the most loving and subtle ways.

A Woman Nurtures the Life within her. She nurtures it despite all odds, brings it into this world, and molds this little life into one BIG beautiful life. This life then goes and touches all with its amazing love, only to then create another life. Such is the miracle of a Woman. She not only nurtures her children, but also all those other children she comes across. She gives and gives and gives…all so openly. Her heart is deeper than any ocean and bigger than any Universe.

I am Every Woman! I am not a feminist….But I am a Womanist. I will not, do not and cannot tolerate injustice, inequality or indecency towards any woman. When push comes to shove I am Every Woman and In every woman….Cause I know together we Women are Invincible!

Therefore I am Invincible!

Yay to all Women everywhere! Rejoice. Celebrate. Live. Cause You are Stronger than any mountain and can fly higher than any sky.

You are God’s Special Creation.

Let noone tell you or make you feel otherwise…..

“It is this belief in a power larger than myself and other than myself, which allows me to venture into the unknown and even the unknowable.”~Maya Angelou, poet, educator

  1. Yes, even as a man I recognize that women are incredibly important (apart from the obvious reasons). Giving women political and financial power is one of the most important steps in getting countries out of poverty. It works every time, as far as I know!

    1. Hi Derek,
You are completely right! I have seen practical examples of where women being in power create such amazing balance. Be that political or financial…..eradication of all things negative is a possibility.
Thank you for sharing your amazing thoughts here.
      Much Love~

  2. inspired type

Woohoo! International Woman’s Day!! There’s an old Helen Reddy song from the 1972 “I am woman hear me roar in numbers too big to ignore … I am strong, I am invincible, I am woman…”! Look up the lyrics, they’re perfect.

And I love the illustration, who did it?

    1. Hi Sue,
Ohh hear me roar is so so empowering na…Thank you fro sharing those words!
As for the illustration, Its from flickr.com from the creative commons section. Most of the pictures I use for my blog are from there πŸ™‚
Happy Women’s Day right back at you πŸ™‚
      Much Love~

  3. Hello Zeenat! Joy has told me I must visit your blog, and I’m so happy to finally be here. Thank you for sharing your little piece of heaven with me.

I find as an emerging woman that I’m only now sitting with the fact that I have the ultimate power to create and nurture. From my dreams, I create reality, and when I see the creations in front of me I nurture them as if holding a newborn child. As an emerging woman, I’ve also found I have the power of destruction, be it for breaking down new walls or forging through old ones. In me lies all three of these qualities: creation, nurture/preservation, and destruction. I’m only now learning how to straddle the three worlds of my woman’s terrain, but I’m excited to learn my potential.

    Best,
    Quinn

    1. Oh Quinn You are so wise and so so right on track!
I love how you are embracing all your true colors and bursting with such beauty….Amazing!
May you grow and grow and truly surpass all the boundaries of potential in your mind and others.

  4. Hi Zeenat,
Isn’t it wonderful to be a woman?! To be filled with light and life? To follow the moon tides and be connected to each other. Thanks for the lovely post Zeenat! Take care and Happy Women’s Day!

    1. Hi dandy,
Oh its marvelous to be a woman! So wonderful that we can all connect at that level, and be each others wings….My hubby often says, ” we men never stand up for another man the way you women stand up and fight for each other!”
      We are truly Invincible!
Thank you for your lovely comment here and Happy Womens Day to you too!
      Much Love~

  5. Oh my dear sweet soul sister, This is magnificent!!! Oh! I just LOVE it. So vivacious and bursting with life. Such a powerful and dynamic stand/proclamation. And I don’t mean a “stand” in anger or “against”. I mean a “stand for” or more like a claiming of who you are, and who we women ALL are. It is so beautiful. And so deserving of women. We all need to here this. It makes us stronger and helps us feel more connected. It also helps each of us feel our own importance in the world. I just love you for the unbridled burst of “This is who we are!!” Bless you my dear precious friend. So grateful for you. And I love you a 100000000 times more!! LOL!! Love, R πŸ˜‰

    1. My darling Robin,
I know its a statement alright…but more like a “dont mess with us women, cause we are strong” kind of statement πŸ™‚
We are so strong when we all put our hearts together….
You are one inspiring woman..and I’m so so lucky to have you as my soul sister!
      Ok…now…are you ready…are you steady…I love you X Infinity and beyond! HA…top that πŸ˜‰ hehhehe…
      Big Big hugs~

  6. My hero! (*sigh*).

I can’t begin to properly express my admiration for women, just as I have inadequate words to express my dismay at the opportunities for growth and sharing men waste by trying to oppress them. No man exists without a mother, whether he knows her or not, and I believe that women (including those who do not bear children) act as mothers to the whole world. Women are the portal of all creativity to me, so I try to promote and connect with my inner feminine side. I think women also have an inner man, but unlike many men they are more comfortable accepting and nurturing their “take charge” inner guy than men are at allowing themselves to be empathetic and encouraging.

Oh, and thank you. I don’t win contests ordinarily. (I suppose it means I shall have to find out what skype is and how to install it.)

    1. Dearest Mikey,
You are one sensitive man..and how I wish all men possessed your sensitivity and understanding. Most actually do, they just don’t acknowledge it due to a lifetime of gender based conditioning.
As for the contest..you WON! Hands Down πŸ™‚ Get used to it….I’m here to make that winner that sits inside you to shine!
By the way..I emailed you about the skype thing..if you need any help in that department…just let me know.
      Much Love~

  7. I forgot to mention that if women were the heads of state in all nations, war would instantly be a rare exception instead of a historical inevitability. Where men must eventually reach a point of “fighting it out”, women will do whatever is necessary to WORK things out.

    1. Mikey…..As I read through this comment of yours, I closed my eyes and visualized a world, governed by women…..my God it would be awesome! There would be BIG talks for small things and even BIGGER talks for BIG things. Violence would literally be history.
Now only if this could become a reality…that would be superb! Somehow When Men & Women work together harmoniously, everything is right in the world….till the ego clashes come in na… πŸ™‚

  8. Love it A womanist what a wonderful word. and i love this

    Love and hugs

    1. HI Suzie,
So glad you liked my take on Women’s Day!
Being a womanist is freeing in the WHOLE sense of it.
Thank you for your lovely comment here my dear.
      Much love~

  9. From birth, men have known the magic and power of women.
To many it is just too much for their tiny egos. They have conspired over thousands of years to keep women under foot. Some men say it is Gods will that women are to suffer. This is no god that I know, my god is the God of love, He has blessed His daughters far above men, with more compassion, joy and love in their heartsβ™₯ At the end of the day, it is women who bring sanity to this weary world.

    1. Hi Walter…its so lovely to see your words here πŸ™‚
And youre so right…that God blessed us women with amazing gifts…special beautiful gifts…..
But I have to say this too…that not all men conspire to make women suffer….there are still some very precious gems in the male species who can make a woman feel like a queen or a princess πŸ™‚ I just wish all men were like that πŸ™‚
Thank you for taking the time to share your beautiful thoughts here. I loved every word.
      Much love~

  10. Dear Zeenat – Happy Women’s day!

What a way we have come in our society to celebrate 100 years of awareness for women, where we move towards equal treatment, respect, care and compassion.

I know women in all parts of the world are still inflicted by various things, but as we share, bring awareness and continue to evolve this world towards love and light – we continue to bridge the gaps between the inequality.

As Invisible Mikey said above, I too agree that if more women were in positions of governments, etc… the world would not be based on war. The pendulum is swinging and the feminine balance is becoming better attained, in what was up to this point a very male dominated world. We need to honor both divine energies of the masculine and the feminine equally – and embrace them within each one of ourselves – if we are to heal the world.

Thank you for sharing this beautiful piece!

    1. Hi Evita,
What you say makes perfect sense. It is indeed slowly and steadily no more a “man’s world”.
My hubby often teases me saying, ” I don’t know why we men keep thinking its a male dominated world…when in all reality, you women are pulling all the right strings in the background.”
Its just our time to come to the forefront and shine…. πŸ™‚ Healing through our acceptance of our unique and special gifts…
I’m glad you liked this Women’s day Rant from me πŸ™‚
Thank you for your lovely comment here.
Much Love and Happy Women’s Day to you too!

  11. Zeenat,

I love your celebration of the power within woman-ness. Women are incredible. I hope one day we will powerfully join together to eliminate all oppression and violence against women around the world. And all violence altogether! I agree ~ if women were the heads of state, life would be difference. Women can be vulnerable and fierce with no contradiction and all coming from love.

What’s the difference between a feminist and womanist though?

    1. Darling Sandra,
Women are love in human form I think….if only we realised how much power we truly possess….
And the difference between a womanist and feminist is : A womanist truly believes and stand up for all woman kind, with no malice towards her male counterparts. Whereas Feminists also essentially do the same thing, but with a certain degree of blame and malice towards the Male species.
However the word Womanist is not used in traditional english just yet, and was used in history…..To me though its a word that came from the heart…and then I realized truly what it stood for in history. You can read about its history on Wiki Encyclopedia.
So glad you liked this We are powerful rant…
      Much Love~

  12. Rocket Bunny

    Love your article Z.
Women were born to feel and understand emotion that is something men have to learn over time.

    1. HI Sweet Bunny,
I totally agree with you. Women have these amazing intuitive powers, which men take a whole load of time to get to….and bonding..oh thats one thing I feel we women are way ahead of than men.
So happy you loved this article darling. Lovely seeing you here.
      So Much Love~

  13. Hi Zeenat .. love your expression for women – we have so much to offer – tempered measured words, love, care, compassion, thoughtfulness .. so many missing in the other half of the population.

I love the Helen Reddy song too – says it all – as your post emphasises across the globe .. we can live in hope and act accordingly .. betterment for all .. with a big hug or two .. Hilary

    1. HI Hilary,
I love how we women embody all things beautiful yet remain so humble πŸ™‚
It does rock to be a woman !
Thank you for sharing your lovely thoughts here.
      Much Love~

  14. Zeenat,
How beautiful your devotion to the woman, and the divine feminine.
It is wonderful to celebrate all that we are, and all that we encompass as women and see in others through the true nature of the feminine. πŸ™‚
I performed on this day with two other women and we each represented a part of the woman uniting as one to symbolize the feminine in everything, including the masculine with it’s own strong courageous part.
Blessings to you my dear friend. ~
Wishing you well, in all that you do.

    1. HI Ana,
Wow your performance sounds amazing. I’m sure you really sent the perfect message out to all those watching. Embracing all sides of ourselves as women is what makes us so strong and courageous. May we all be blessed with this amazing gift of heart sight.
Love and blessing right back at you πŸ™‚

    1. Hi Nea,
I agree I love that we have a Day all for us πŸ™‚ Makes us feel kind of like royalty hmm… πŸ™‚
I’m glad you stopped by and shared your thoughts.
      So Much Love~

  15. The extra-ordinariness of women needs to be acknowledged to balance the imbalance created by masculine energy, but I am every woman too because I am the infinite reality that surges through the body of everyone. There is only One Being, occupying an infinity of states of Being.
