“We are all visitors to this time, this place. We are just passing through. Our purpose here is to observe, to learn, to grow, to love… and then we return home.” ~ Australian Aboriginal Proverb
What is the purpose of my life?
What is the meaning of true fulfillment?
What do I really want?
Why am I really here on this planet?
With the new reality we are all in, where everyday is a blessing and every thing around us is crumbling, thinking about purpose is so imperative. This is a time when all our plans have gone up in the air. Nothing planned makes sense in the wake of the pandemic. Our lives have completely changed and most people are now realising that the way they had been living before this pandemic, was so far away from their true purpose. Its funny how this down time forced by the pandemic has given us all time to rethink our whole life.
So with that in mind, lets dive into rediscovering our true purpose. And yes, our life’s purpose can change and evolve over time too.

There are questions that perpetually haunt most of us…sometimes thirty, forty, fifty or sixty years of our lives have flown by and we realize that we hardly recognize ourselves, any longer? That drive we had in our youth, seems to have dimmed over the years.
Questions like: What is my purpose now? Where do I go from here? What will bring me fulfillment? etc.
Such questions, are confusing to most, have been asked and answered over the ages. Discovering the true purpose and meaning of your life is truly simple. No, I’m not kidding!
I have often written about passion, finding your true self, loving yourself etc….but when it comes to the purpose of life, I have never really written about it in too much detail.
The reason for this is that I believe we each have a very simple purpose. One that need not be explained, cause we each already KNOW our purpose. But recently, after numerous emails/messages from YOU the Beautiful readers, I will very simply explain to you , how to rediscover Your True life’s Purpose.

What great questions Zeenat. I like to begin with the end in mind. How will I feel if I do this…or that…and that helps me stay connected to my ‘why’ I’m doing what I’m doing.
I like that you suggest that our purpose be as simple as …. any number of things. I don’t feel a grand, big purpose. However, I can get behind a simple “be useful, be helpful, be a person you can be proud of” purpose. Thank you for this inspiration.
I think the purpose of life is to be happy and to pass that on to the future generations. We are human be-ings, not human do-ings.
Entering total lockdown with a 4 hour notice and thanking my stars that I had gotten my Miss Coco’s dog food the weekend before as well as the pollution control done for the quarter got me thinking about what I used to be grateful for and the shift in thinking, Zeenat.
With all the difficulties and uncertainties I found the time to introspect and realized our North Star can change as we grow older and our life purpose evolves along the journey. Thanks for the questions, they are very relevant in these pandemic times.
Your insightful list of questions inspires us to see how easy it is to explore our purpose(s), Zeenat. In this period of time when a lot of individuals are evaluating what’s important, this helps to calm the chaotic mind and remind us that living a purposeful life will provide us unique opportunities to experience joy. Blessings to you.
Most people like to complicate the task of figuring out their life purpose, thinking that it has to be something huge and sweeping. I’ve come to the same conclusion that you have: It’s simply a part of who you are. I believe that we’re all born with unique gifts. Our purpose is to figure out those gifts and share them with others.
Hi Zeenat. I’m glad to see you’re still shining your light and helping others. Thank you.
I love this article Zeenat! I so agree with your statement “With the new reality we are all in, where everyday is a blessing and every thing around us is crumbling, thinking about purpose is so imperative.” I have been looking at this time through the lens of what are my core values and how am I living in alignment with them every day. It is helping with the feeling of being blown around in the storm and staying grounded as I move forward. Thank you so much for sharing your insight and wisdom!
Nice one . This is true in every sense.
Hey
Recently I have started writing blogs and would like to know your review about it . Here is the link : https://motivatepeeps.com/inspiration-in-life/
I love your nine questions, Zeenat, and the idea of keeping things simple. When I stay focused on my purpose and my goals in life, I feel more in balance with the world. Thanks for sharing these great questions.
Zeenat, I love the way you show us that our life purpose can be as simple as “loving.” Life purpose might be connected to our work, but not necessarily. These are such helpful questions, and I’m sure they will help people connect with their true passion in life. Connecting with our purpose makes every day meaningful!
Thanks for sharing a great list on rediscovering life purpose.
Recently, I posed this question with a client with whom I was helping: what would you regret not pursuing, when you are on your deathbed and assuming that you’ve not chosen on any path from now? Well, she finally found her answer with this question.
