Simple Ways to Have New Beginnings Everyday ~ Raoka

Every day is a new beginning. Treat it that way. Stay away from what might have been, and look at what can be.

New Beginnings have this amazing butterfly effect on me. On focusing on New Beginnings in January, I couldn’t help but think of how the turn of this date from 2010 to 2011 is so so new. It is, in all ways a new year, a new chance, a new experience, a new Beginning…which holds potential to so much more.

I still think back to my school days and remember the happy butterflies in my stomach just before the new school year began. The smell of new books, the feel of a new classroom, the new faces, the new friends, the new teachers, the new Knowledge. There was so much New to look forward to then. And to this day, I still get a certain high with all the New Beginnings in and around this world and my life.

As this high of the New continues to engulf my being, I embrace it with arms wide open. The sun shines newly everyday. The Moon glimmers newly everyday. The stars twinkle newly everyday. Then why can’t we SHINE newly Everyday?

There is new adventure out there everyday. There are new waves of amazing beauty and happiness everyday. Why aren’t we swimming in these happy waves everyday?

We can Shine! We can Swim! We most certainly can. I know I make the conscious effort to do so everyday. Here is how I do it and you can too-

3 Simple Ways to Have New Beginnings everyday:

  1. When you awake, stretch out your arms, take a big yawn and remind yourself “today is a NEW day. Today, this moment, will never come back. Today is all brand new. What NEW am I going to create today”
  2. When you get stuck in a not so positive situation, which happens to most of us regularly, me included, take 5 NEW Deep breaths. While you breathe again remind yourself “New IN old and negative OUT”.
  3. Sleep at night by letting go of the day you have had. Tell yourself, whats gone is gone and never coming back. That negative feeling, that stress, that tiredness, that dilemma, that inertia…let it all go and tell yourself “tomorrow I begin Anew”

By having New Beginnings everyday, you are paving the way for immense happiness in your life. You are allowing the good the positive to enter your life and not leaving room for any negative.

“So many fail because they don’t get started – they don’t go. They don’t overcome inertia. They don’t begin.” W. Clement Stone

How many of us have fallen in the trap of not even beginning, cause we are afraid. Afraid of failing, afraid of getting out of our comfort zones, afraid of change, afraid of the unknown.

But let me ask you one question- How would you know what Beautiful New Surprises are in store for you if you Never make the effort to Begin?

We can’t make all our dreams come true if we don’t Begin Anew.

Now you have to decide- Either you choose to have New Beginnings everyday and fulfill your dreams or Be trapped in a vicious negative spiral. What you decide paves the way for your future…Bright or Dark depends on your choice.

“The secret to a rich life is to have more beginnings than endings.” David Weinbaum

  1. Here’s to new beginnings! There are so many ways we can find them or choose to see them or allow them to be a part of our lives.

  2. Yes, starting every day anew is an excellent idea. Everything changes constantly and no two moments are exactly alike, so it’s best to accept this and embrace it!

    1. Hi Derek,
Ahhh….I just love it that no two moment are alike…isnt that in itself such an exciting thought?
Accepting and embracing these NEW moments is indeed a blessing for us all.

  3. Hi Zeenat:

Wow, very inspiring post. I enjoyed your imagery of the new school year (pencils & books, etc.) – I remember that well even though it was a long time ago. You also touched on something important – sometimes we lose site of (new) opportunities in front of us because we’re still not over our past wounds. Your post makes a great case for really being aware of what’s new…even if it makes us feel a little scared or unsure.

    1. HI Tim,
Youre indeed right….that sometimes the new can be scary and can make us unsure, but isnt that the beauty of it all? Although there is a sense of the unknown, there is still a sense of curiosity and adventure in it too. It make living and life all the more fun and interesting..dont you think?
I’m so happy you found this post inspiring :)Thank you fro your raoka contribution this month dear Tim 🙂
      Much Love~

  5. Zeenat,

This was so uplifting. I especially liked the idea of letting go of the day when you go to sleep at night. I’m definitely going to give that one a whirl and thin, “tomorrow I begin anew.”

Oh, I love this yellow background on your blog! Hugs.

    1. Hi Sandra darling,

  6. Megan "JoyGirl!" Bord

Beautiful Zeenat! I love the image you used for this post. WOW! It totally grabbed my attention. So lovely!
As for starting fresh each day, sometimes I can and sometimes I can’t. Lately, for instance, I’ve been stuck in a dark place. I thought it might just last a few weeks (when three weeks had gone by), but nope, it’s hung on for nearly three months. Some days are tougher than others, and there are days when no part of me wants to affirm positive. It’s sort of scary, weird, yet very real. It’s EFFORT to think good, life-affirming thoughts. I wonder if it’s part of my wiring, because while I know some people like this, others (like you) seem able to really turn the tables on a bad day. That’s so cool and admirable!
For me, my biggest lesson in all of this is to honor the darkness while it lingers. It has lessons for me, so rather than resist them, I try to make way for them. But then again, the first “up” day I have, I run so far and fast from that darkness it’s laughable! (Today was an “up” and sunshiney day – thank GOD!)

Love you, beautiful friend! And again, that image was so “wow!”

    1. My Joyful Angel,
I know..that image got me mesmerized at first sight..and it fit so perfectly with breaking away from the old and embracing the new..i just had to use it.
My dear contrary to popular belief, I can have my down days too, but i have been able to bounce back sooner and sooner with time.
Honoring the darkness, to a point of knowing and believing its there to teach you something is good. But i know some who can lay in that darkness for years..feeling that is their fate, when its NOT. We have so much power to create all we want…
May all your days be UP and SHINY! Sending you love and light, to bid that darkness bye bye 🙂
      Love you too sweetie!

  7. Zeenat — What an uplifting post. I loved your suggestions, especially the one about when you’re having a difficult time. I like the idea of “New IN old and negative OUT” and I like what you suggested about when you go to sleep.

I always leave your site feeling better than when I arrived. You have such a joyful energy and it is catchy, thank goodness:~)

    1. HI Sara,
      Awesome to see you here!
I love that my writing/blog makes you feel more joyful. You know, that is the secret plan here 😉
Your loving energy is infectious too darling.
      So Much Love~

  8. This is a great post. I especially like the 3 steps. This reminds me of a painting I have hanging above my little prayer corner. The painting is by a Chinese artist my mother admired. It shows a little sparrow in some tall grass as the dawn breaks. The title is “For today, newly bright.” Sometimes I start the day by looking at the painting and saying the title out loud. Thank you for the inspiration.

    1. Hi Galen,
What a beautiful painting and what lovely truly uplifting words. I think you should write an ebook with the title…wow.I love the feeling those words bring out…so happily positive.
And by the way, your mum has great taste 🙂
Thank you fro your lovely comment here.
      Much love~

  9. Love it Zeenat, New beginnings are what we get each day and sometimes I think we forget that- we get a clean slate to start with.
Like Sandra I am on boards with no 3- omorrow I begin Anew”
    love and blessing my friend
    Suzie♡♡

    1. Hi Suzie,
YAY! You too try the affirmation and let me know how it helped.
And you’re right…we get so many chances each day to begin anew…but most of us forget to notice them, cause we are all so pre-occupied with the mundane.
      Love to you too dearest!

  10. The butterfly effect is awesome.Love the photos you have used.
I wake up in the morning and before I get out of bed, I give thanks for another day and add please allow me to remain positive and humble.
Then the urgent mother nature effect takes control.:D

    1. Darling Bunny,
Ohh gratitude is the best medicine for all. You being thankful brings in waves if not tides of positivity in your life…how wonderful!
And babe..noone can fight with mother nature hmm 😉
      So Much love to you~
p.s. I’m still curious about thy update 🙂

  11. I’m delighted to have landed in this flower bed, one I have not visited before! I am seeking reconnection to more of the naturally empowering aspects of living, since much of my income and resource comes through avenues of artifice.

Thanks for helping me to breathe better, Zeenat.

    1. HI Invisible Mikey,
So awesome to make your connection! I did love your words…and just had to reach out.
I’m glad you stopped by my little piece of heaven and happier that I helped you breathe…ahh…makes me feel ecstatic!
Thank you for your lovely and mesmerizing comment here.
      Much love~

  12. Zeenat, as always, such lovely thoughts!

I’m so sorry to be late this month, and to be doing something a little different. I have been very “wrapped up” in an enormous animal rescue effort, which has resulted in the transport of one hundred llamas from an abandoned sanctuary in Montana, to our local rescue facility here in upstate New York.

Every month, I write a newsletter for my animal communication clients (which is also late this month!) Since this month’s RAOKA theme is “new beginnings”, and my time has been completely occupied by helping to give these wonderful animals a “new beginnings” of their own, I asked Zeenat if she would mind if I combined the two endeavors.

Above, please find the link to my February 2011 issue of “Creature Thoughts”, where you will meet the llamas, and learn about their New Beginning.

    1. Hi Gayze,
So happy you stopped by! It doesnt matter if its late…what youre doing for the llamas is commendable.
I am honored that your are coupling the two together i.e. your newsletter with raoka.
I will be over to read your “creature thoughts” soon.
      Much love~

  13. Hey Zeenat, loved the article. Your mental images of going back to school after the holidays brought back a lot of good memories. Nice lift up for the soul this morning after reading this, thank you.

    1. Hey Steven,

You know the thing about those mental images is..that I can relive them with my little girl again. the smell of new books atleast 😉
