They imagine that my limitations weigh heavily upon my spirit, and chain me to the rock of despair. Yet, it seems to me, happiness has very little to do with the senses. If we make up our minds that this is a drab and purposeless universe, it will be that, and nothing else. Hi Zeenat, What a superb collection!! It takes me back into my adolescence, when I was very fond of collecting ” thoughts for the day” and I would keep them writing in my diary. Many of my friends would make fun of me but I kept pursuing this hobby….still do!
I love all these quotes and the way you have presented them, with images to break the monotony! Many of them go straight into the heart….like “Write it on your heart that every day is the best day in the year.” ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
I have always found ‘If’ by Rudyard Kipling very inspiring.
I love the following lines, they transport me in the lap of Nature:
“There is a pleasure in the pathless woods,
There is a rapture on the lonely shore,
There is society, where none intrudes,
By the deep sea, and music in its roar:
I love not man the less, but Nature more”
― George Gordon Byron
And there are many more which I treasure! Thanks Zeenat for taking me down the memory lane… i would like to soak in those memories.
Have a great day!
Beautiful quotes and images to go with them!! I need to share your posters more often!!
