5 Positive Affirmations to Beat Anxiety

“I promise you nothing is as chaotic as it seems. Nothing is worth diminishing your health. Nothing is worth poisoning yourself into stress, anxiety and fear.” ~ Steve Maraboli

Beating anxiety is an uphill climb. Anxiety can feel like its taking over your life and not allowing you to really live freely. It makes doubt and fear your constant companion. As I discussed in a previous article on the 5 Step Plan to Positively Reduce Anxiety, there is hope. It can be handled.

Another beautiful and highly effective way to beat anxiety, especially when it comes to calming those nerves, is repeating positive affirmations. You all know how “in love” with positive affirmations I am 🙂 I’ve written whole series of articles on the benefits of these powerful, high vibratory nuggets.

5 Positive Affirmations to Beat Anxiety

Repeating positive affirmation over and over again has a calming and soothing effect on the heart and mind. And since anxiety is often triggered by stress, which leads to negative self talk…Positive affirmations work wonders to consciously replace that negative self talk with Positive self talk aka Positive Affirmations.

Below are five of my favorite Positive Affirmations to beat and calm Anxiety:

Repeat any one of these affirmations as and when you feel anxious. Repeat atleast 5 times. For the full effect, I suggest either printing out these affirmations and keeping them handy or writing them down in a small note book and keeping handy.

Use any or all the affirmations here as per your needs. The bottom line though, is you NEED to Remember to use them while in that anxious state. Thats when they work best.

1} I am healing continuously & successfully.
2} I transcend stress of any kind. I live in peace.
3} I am cool, calm & in control.
4} I free myself from all distructive doubt & fear.
5} I have the power to make positive changes.

I hope these affirmations help you as much as they have helped me and many others with anxiety in calming those nerves.

Ultimately though, the most important thing to remember is that you are in control of your thoughts, no matter what the external stressors are. Slowly and steadily you can master the art of being in a calm and beautiful mind, with thoughts that nurture you. Be gentle with yourself and you will get there. I know I have!

I use positive affirmations consistently too Zeenat…and you’re so right, they change our vibration of energy which changes our life experiences. And really it’s not hard to do. Thanks for sharing your affirmations, they’re lovely.

  2. These are beautiful, Zeenat, and the words are powerful. Thanks for these inspiring tools. I will remember the next time anxiety hits and embrace one of these affirmations.

I find affirmations helpful and use them throughout my days. I think the last one you suggest resonates with me the best.

  5. I find that affirmations help guide thoughts in a loving direction. The affirmations I find myself repeating are, “I am that I am” and “I forgive the am that I forgive.” This is a wonderful post, Zeenat.

  6. These are wonderful affirmations. If I’m in a hurry and need a reminder as I rush to my next appointment, I repeat in my mind. LET GO. LET GO. Let Go. A great way to remember to release stress and anxiety and just R E L A X. xo
